WELCOME TO THE RAWDON-SMITH TRUST
Thanks to the generosity of local landowners, the Rawdon-Smith Trust has owned the bed of Coniston Water since 1964. It is a charity and uses the fees collected from moorings and jetties to give financial support to other charities and voluntary bodies in the five parishes that border the lake.
The Trust also owns properties near the lake and these are managed to encourage quiet recreation and conservation.
All Trustees and Officers, that is, the Secretary, Treasurer and Lake Warden are volunteers.
The Trust is able to receive donations and legacies.
